We’re seeking a highly-skilled Data Engineer with expertise in ETL, relational databases, and cloud infrastructure.
At REW.ca, we believe real estate is one of life’s great adventures. As British Columbia’s leading real estate platform and with a strong national reach, we empower millions of Canadians to navigate their home search journeys with confidence. By combining innovative technology, deep market insights, and a seamless user experience, REW.ca empowers home seekers to find their perfect home. Our mission is to make real estate a more personal experience, guided by care, empathy, and innovation.
We’ve done this by carefully assembling a team of great people who have great ideas. One of those genius-level ideas is to make REW quite simply the best place in the world to work.
And that’s where you come in.
We’re searching for a highly-motivated Data Engineer to help our Data Team wrangle real estate data, build sustainable infrastructure, and support analytics. We are hiring for a 12-month contract role for the year of 2027. Availability to start early in December 2026 would be a plus!
A love of working with amazing people will be viewed as a plus, too.
Rocking the role.
Data is at the heart of everything we do at REW. Every day, our platform ingests feeds from dozens of sources to compile, composite and augment the listings that thousands of homeseekers search through in their quest for the perfect home.
You would join a small team in evolving REW’s existing data platform. Your role may include responding to upstream changes from some of our feed providers, optimizing performance to respond to increased demand or troubleshooting integrity issues.
As you grow in the role, you’ll earn the opportunity to take on more complex problems and own all aspects of developing end-to-end data flows, including gathering requirements, data modeling, ETL script development and data quality control.
We support work on an agile data platform built on the cloud utilizing big-data tools to extract, transform and load data from a variety of sources. Our Data Engineers act as key technical resources, participating in architectural design, developing robust, reliable workflows and ensuring data accuracy and availability.
