The Opportunity:
ML6 is partnering with a fast-growing, multi-location dental organization to find a Manager, Clinic Onboarding & Projects. This individual will take ownership of the transition of newly acquired practices into the network, from initial planning and clinic introduction through Day 1 readiness and post-launch stabilization.
Acting as a central point of contact for partner dentists, practice managers and internal teams, you will coordinate operational, people, technology and financial workstreams. You will establish clear milestones, identify dependencies and ensure that clinic teams feel informed and supported throughout the change.
Acquisition volumes will fluctuate. Between integrations, you will lead practical cross-functional projects that improve clinic operations, strengthen systems and processes, and support the organization’s broader growth priorities. This is a hands-on delivery role, not simply a reporting or coordination position.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build and manage end-to-end onboarding plans for newly acquired clinics, including discovery, workstream owners, timelines, dependencies, risks and readiness criteria.
- Coordinate pre-close and pre-launch preparation where appropriate, confirm go-live readiness, and remain accountable for issue resolution and adoption after the transition.
- Coordinate Operations, HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, Marketing, vendors and clinic leadership so responsibilities, decisions and deadlines are clear.
- Serve as a trusted primary contact for partner dentists, practice managers and clinic teams; communicate upcoming changes and provide practical on-site support as needed.
- Maintain an integration risk and issue log, anticipate operational disruption, escalate decisions promptly and close out outstanding actions.
- Develop and refine onboarding checklists, standardized work plans, status dashboards, handover protocols and lessons learned across acquisitions.
- Support transitions in practice systems, people processes, vendor arrangements and operating procedures while preserving continuity of patient care.
- During quieter acquisition periods, lead operational improvement, systems implementation, process standardization and other cross-functional initiatives from definition through implementation.
- Track milestones, budgets where applicable, decisions, dependencies and accountable owners; provide concise progress reporting to senior leadership.
- Establish clear acceptance criteria with Regional Operations, confirm handover ownership and track unresolved issues and post-integration improvements.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- Approximately 5+ years of experience leading multi-stakeholder projects, implementations, business integrations or operational change; demonstrated ownership of outcomes is more important than a specific title.
- Experience in healthcare, dental, retail, franchising, hospitality or other distributed service environments is valuable; direct dental experience is an asset, not a requirement.
- Able to move between planning and hands-on problem solving, balancing structured project controls with the realities of busy operating clinics.
- Proven ability to manage parallel projects, competing deadlines, dependencies and risk without losing follow-through.
- Comfortable working with business owners, clinicians, practice managers, executives, functional leaders and external vendors; able to build trust during change.
- Clear, empathetic communicator who can translate complex transitions into straightforward actions and timely updates.
- Proficient with project plans, trackers and Microsoft 365 or comparable collaboration tools; experience with practice management systems is an asset.
- Willingness to visit clinics as required and shift priorities between acquisitions and operational projects based on business needs.
- PMP, Prosci or comparable project/change management training is an asset, not a requirement.
